modern expressionist artist: Edvard Munch

great artist. love this guy! i guess his most famous and widely recognized piece is that one of the dude screaming, it just displays such extreme emotion, and at the end of the day. thats what your art work should do.

sand castles smh @ tha randomness

i have gone to the beach dozens of times. just like everyone i else i play in the sand, try to dig a really deep hole, or bury someone but i was always perplexed when i saw a sand castle with fine details. either on TV or in person. i would always wonder how they did it. it just occurred to me that there is bound to be a video on youtube showing how its done. i checked it out and the key is lots of water, then you can shape it any way you want. it works best if you have a spray bottle. here a re a couple of cool ones ive seen

just my opinion

so i was just looking at some fashion ads and i came across this one for an Armani Prive dress

i liked it for the most part. the only thing that bothered me was seeing her shadow. it seemed so unnecessary. when i was interning at harlemLIVE (an online youth media program to put it shortly) i learned that when you cast light from different angles of a subject you can get rid of a shadow. now when i see photos its something i notice. now don't get me wrong not all shadows in pictures are bad but i just dont think it works for this photo.

i smell a new project : ]

i been thinking of designing a shirt or sweater with large designs that resemble finger prints. im still deciding on the material and if it should be 1 finger print or many. if i draw it out and it looks chaotic i will leave it with 1.
the art that sparked this piece i found in an art gallery i really like over on spring street. its called gallerynine5. they never disappoint me. either they have work out that i just cant take my eyes off or the story behind the inspiration of the piece is amazing or lol the artist has a really interesting persona.
i caution u the art hat inspired me isnt the best but i found something in it that intrigued me. isnt that what counts????

#now playing

im checkin it out. after playin it a few times i will give u he verdict. i hope she delivers some hot shit because i expect nothing less from such a soulful goddess.

author of the year

last year i was fiend for the twilight series. this years obsession is dan brown. author of the da vinci code, angels and demons, deception point, the lost symbol, and digital fortress. oddly enough i read them all but the da vinci code. this is only because i started with the second book and i couldn't go backwards. i mean this man has it all super action packed, romance(not over bearing for you guys out there), witty(like every other page u jus wanna hop on google a research something he mentioned or look up a word he used). he makes some very strong statements about religion. the suspense is another plus. to say it simply reading his books takes you on a journey through many perspectives. now the moveis on the other hand are cool but do the books no justice.

well thats that, i dare u not to pick up 1.

the tim burton experience...

this guy is pretty cool. he directed and produced: edward scissorhands, james and the giant peach, charlie and the chocolate factory, nightmare before christmas, corpse bride, sleepy hollow, alice in wonderland and sweeny todd. also a couple of batman movies. all movies that brought a chic goth theme. all of his animations even the ones most simplistically drawn are very signature and reflect his personal style. if he were a fashion designer he could offer so much variety and still have a cohesive collection. i love how jhnny depp and helena carter frequent his films. when tim had an exhibit at the MOMA i wanted to go so bad but i missed it. i took to looking up his art for the exhibit and obsessively drawing them and trying to recreate that same epic style.

is it cheating really????

if your in a relationship and your spending time with someone else is that considered cheating ? i believe it takes more than one person to satisfy me (not necessarily sexually but emotionally) is it wrong to develop another relationship with someone to emotionally fulfill your desires?

kanye smdh

kanye and his crazy ass has done it again. his album is off the hook! every feature complimented the album (Nikki minaj, bon iver, rihanna, kid cudi, fuckin chris rock etc). good lyrical content he brought on the comic relief with "blame game". the artwork for the album was very inspiring for me. as usual he didn't fail to sample some good oldies. among my favorites are all of the lights, gorgeous, devil in a new dress.

witnessed the eclipse this year!

i stayed up all night. as everyone slept i was outside being a part of history. armed with my phone to keep my facebook friends updated, my iTouch with a playlist of some newly released albums (my beautiful dark twisted fantasy, loud, the beginning..), my casio camera to capture the moment and keep me from dying of boredom. i stayed out for about 2and a half ours, only going upstairs for a hot cocoa break. it was peaceful and a beautiful sight. i froze my ass off but im glad i came out.

christmas is in the air

went to Rockefeller center to see the tree lighting. this is something i haven't seen since i was a small child. i went alone. i've been doing a lot of things alone these days. i like to have company but i find i have as good a time when i'm solo. so i set out on my journey, where my destination is unknown(another thing i've been doing a lot lately). the MOMA is in this area.
earlier that day i read there was a terrorist treat at Rockefeller Center. some guy tried to drive a van around a large group of people and blow up everything by the tree. he was caught but they upped security.
when i advanced past security i ended up in a gated area with a bunch of people i ended up joking around with them. some from Arizona, Rhode island, the Philippines.
good times...
